Breeding Philosophy
At Dales, our primary objective is to develop free-range Australian Angus cattle, with a calm, quiet temperament and a high docility level, through pasture-based feeding.
Our approach to raising superior cattle is achieved through genetics, a higher yield per head, and better quality beef (with the highest Angus marbling level).
Managing all processes carefully, we specifically select the right bull to breed with appropriate stud heifers. We also aim to achieve a low birth weight for calves through our breeding program – assisting with birthing ease, and resulting in a rapid weight gain 200 - 600 days after birth.
Dales strives to achieve an average sale weight of 400 - 500 kilograms, at a relatively young age.
